Cost Estimate: The first thing you will see from me will be a cost estimate/proposal. Click here to see what I will need from you to be able to provide this. The cost estimate is presented as a window, with a low end and a high end, based on the what kinds of materials you will need, whether it be just a logo design or business cards, letterhead, etc.. I charge for the actual number of hours worked within the estimate window.
Discovery Phase: Once the estimate has been approved, and we have settled on a payment schedule, I start the discovery phase. This phase consists of a creative kick-off between us that results in my ability to put together a creative brief to use while designing.
Design: At this point I start design on the branding materials. I will design at least 3 directions for the logo. These designs will be as different as possible while all being in compliance with the creative brief. I allow for two rounds of revisions (if needed) to the logo design before final sign-off, and then we move on to the design of any branding materials. I likewise allow for two rounds of revisions on each of the executions before sign-off.
Production: When I have approved materials I will prep final files for delivery to the printer, and I allow for a bit of time in the estimate for my communications with the printer to make sure the final product is as close to our expectations as possible.
