Leslie Hartnett (my mother) is a ceramicist who specializes in Majojlica terracotta reliefs of faces made up of fruits and vegetables and other edible things. Her work was first inspired by the Renaissance painter Arcimboldo who painted such creations, but has since taken on a life very much its own. It is incredibly imaginative. She does her work in Italy and shows primarily at her U.S. home on Block Island, Rhode Island.
I designed this website for her as an online portfolio of her work.
