UNIVERSITY MUSICAL SOCIETY

University Musical Society

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

I project managed and designed this website in 2003 for the University Musical Society, which is a non-profit arts presenting organization affiliated with the University of Michigan. The main objectives of the redesign were to increase ticket sales, increase awareness of all UMS programs, provide contextual information about artists and presentations to public/ticket-buyers, facilitate the process of information exchange between UMS and its press relations, and to extend UMS branding overall.

The tone and manner I was striving for can be described as "clean," "classy" (as opposed to elegant), "traditional" (but not stodgy), "contemporary and forward-looking" (but not cutting edge), "diverse" (with regards to programming), and "informative." Sadly the website was been redesigned this year (end of 2006).
